The Options window

Opens from File > Options.... Every setting here is saved in Yoake.ini ([options] section, see Yoake.ini) with a readable name - unlike real mIRC, which packs them into opaque numeric strings (n0=0,0,0,0,0,0,300...) never fully documented even by its own community.

OptionWhat it doesDefault
Connect automatically on startupTries to automatically reconnect when Yoake starts, if you already have a saved session - applies to Telegram, WhatsApp and every saved IRC server (see IRC). When disabled, Yoake won't connect to any network until you press the Connect button. On
Close windows on disconnectCloses a network's windows when you disconnect from it (e.g. unlink the device from the phone).Off
Minimize to trayClosing the main window reduces Yoake to a system tray icon instead of quitting.Off
Leave on closeClosing a group/channel window actually leaves that group instead of just hiding the window.Off
Delete on closeClosing a chat also deletes its local history.Off
Font sizeText size in the message area.-
Nicklist font sizeText size in the user list.-
Taskbar font sizeText size in the taskbar tabs (at the bottom, one for each open window) - the font itself stays the one chosen for the whole program, only the size is customized here.11px
Message formatMessage display format (plain text or formatted HTML). In HTML mode, a YouTube/TikTok/Facebook/Vimeo link shared as plain text (not as a real attachment) also shows a small preview with thumbnail and title, when the site makes it available without being logged in - TikTok and Facebook often don't show it for this reason, the link stays clickable regardless. Clicking the preview opens the video embedded in a Yoake window instead of an external browser (YouTube and Vimeo always, TikTok almost always, Facebook isn't as reliable as the other three) - if it doesn't play, there's still a link at the top right of the window to open it in the browser.-
Show timestamp next to each messageLike Timestamp in real mIRC's options: adds the time before every message.Off
Add wa~/te~ prefix to window titlesAdds wa~ in front of WhatsApp window titles and te~ in front of Telegram ones (nick, group, channel, broadcast) - useful to tell at a glance which network a message is coming from when you're connected to both. Only in the window header and in the taskbar row at the bottom: it doesn't change the chat's real title, so it has no effect on $chan, Channel Central, or anywhere else that needs the original name. Status windows never get the prefix.Off
Timestamp formatTime format when Timestamp is on (24-hour with or without seconds, or 12-hour AM/PM).-
Nicklist displayHow to show participants in the user list (text or with avatars).-
Avatar sizeSize of the shown avatars.-
Userlist widthWidth of the user list.-
Nicklist positionWhich side of the window to show the user list on (right/left).-
Message area widthWidth of the message area (0 = automatic).-
Titlebar TextText added after "Yoake -" in the main window's title - same effect as the /titlebar command (see Commands), handy for anyone who doesn't want to use the command. Empty = default title "Yoake".(empty)

Entries with no default given have no "factory" value written in Yoake.ini until you touch them - they stay at whatever value the Options window itself proposes, exactly as today.
